Greg Powe managed the study the commissioned by real estate developer Anthony Lanier, to evaluate prospect of renovating the most significant row of late Federal-style townhouses on M Street, Georgetown’s main retail street. The challenge was to create a successful high-end retail environment for major national tenants while respecting the historic fabric of these buildings which are protected by both exterior and interior historic easements.
