Greg Powe is Development
Director for the District of Columbia Office of Planning for the
redevelopment of this 300-acre historic campus in Southeast Washington, DC,
managing master planning, leading to Public/Private Partnership
solicitations for both new developments and the adaptive reuse of the
landmark buildings. The campus was originally a mental institution developed
in the mid-1800’s and early and mid-1900’s to house more than 7,000 patients
and includes approximately 50 nationally landmarked buildings and their
supporting landscape.
